Our Classic Black and White Wedding at The White Rose Event Center
Classic, Elegant, Timeless — I had a vision — black and white with greenery. I saw a venue with so much character that it needed no decorations. I saw white everything — white chairs, white linens, white roses and only greenery on the tables. I dreamed of a timeless wedding — black suits, black bridesmaids dresses and me in a classic, sophisticated ivory gown.
I am BEYOND THANKFUL for my selfless family, my loyal friends and my amazing team of vendors who made my wedding dreams come true! I wanted to use this blog post as a way to share the images of our best day ever while also thanking our team of vendors.
Photographer | Tessa Tillett-Robbins Photography
Tessa, thank you so much for capturing our wedding day in a way that we could have never dreamed of. You truly didn’t miss a thing and we can remember our day through the images you gave to us. You are so talented and we thank you so much for being there.
Coordinator | Bailey Hill, Blush Bridal Boutique
Bailey, I don’t know what I would have done without you. I got to enjoy every second of my day because I knew I could trust you to handle anything that came our way. You are a true blessing and I can’t thank you enough for what you did for us on our wedding day.
Hair | Paige Brigman, Seven Twenty-Nine Salon
Paige, it was such a joy to have you there on my wedding day. You have been working this head of hair for so many years, I wouldn’t want anyone else touching it on my wedding day. You took every bit of info we discussed leading up to the day and made me feel like a queen. I can’t thank you enough.
DJ | Andy Binkley, On Pointe DJ
Andy, YOU KILLED IT. I had VERY specific requests for music and you never batted an eye. You took each one by the horns and said “you got it”! Jacob and I could not have been more pleased with the way you delivered on our wedding day. My wedding day soundtrack was very particular and we trusted you 110% to make those dreams come true. Thank you so much!!

My Grandma and Grandpa were two very special people in my life and I know they had the best seat of our day from heaven. My grandpa’s shirt was hand-sewn into my dress by my sweet mama and my grandma’s wedding dress was wrapped around my bouquet (you’ll see further down).
I can literally still feel the exact feeling from this image.
I searched for a long time for my earrings and I loved them! Linked here
My grandma’s lace and buttons from her wedding dress wrapped around my bouquet <3
All my girls got to pick out their own dresses — I just asked for it to be a long dress and I knew with it being black they most likely will wear again! 🙂
Oh yeah, my amazing seamstress took out all the crinoline in my Mori Lee gown so it wasn’t a ball gown — check out the before!

Daddy’s girls… prepare yourselves. This was, hands-down, THEE MOST EMOTIONAL MOMENT OF MY ENTIRE DAY. I still cry looking at the photos.

OK MOVING ON… whew…
Thank you to Zach’s Pet Services for cleaning up our little buddy and for bringing him to our wedding for photos!!
Then while the emotional rollercoaster was still flying down the tracks, my dear friend Abby shared the sweetest prayer I’ve ever heard in my life and then we’re all back at it again! 😐
… just me trying not to cry at every second of the day
We wrote notes to each other and nailed them into this box my dad made with a bottle of champagne to open on our one year anniversary 🙂
Can we pause real quick — How gorgeous is my mom?!
Prepare yourself for the tons of photos of the reception set-up because I just love every square inch of it — this is exactly what I DREAMED of!
This is evidence of Bailey’s amazing-ness. She made the transition from ceremony to reception happen without me even knowing what was happening. She moved 5 tables, their perspective chairs and the massive head table (with the help of some strong men) and made everything beautiful. I can’t imagine having my friends, family or myself do that!
Quite possibly the only true moment that we had alone the entire day
