This Coxhall Gardens engagement session in Carmel, Indiana features a gorgeous couple in formal attire, an abundance of golden hour sunset light and gardens of lush florals. Mikaela donned a champagne sparkle gown that paired perfectly with Noah’s navy blue suit. A classic black and white wardrobe change to end the evening created timeless photos that will never go out of style. 

Can you believe these two JUST MET LAST YEAR?! They instantly fell in love last Spring when they met. But the passing of a family member is what truly created a deep connection between them where they knew they were the ones for each other. When I met them at the Sixpence open house in January, I immediately saw the playful love they have for each other. I prayed they would reach out because I knew we would have such a fun time working together. And boy, was I right!! Their playful, romantic love is apparent in their gallery!

I cannot even begin to tell you how EASY Mikaela and Noah made this session! They are incredibly photogenic!! It makes my job suuper easy and there’s little to no instruction to create variety. Honestly, by the end of their session, they were just so snuggly and created the most romantic sunset photos in my portfolio!! I cannot wait for their wedding at The Sixpence this November!! It’s a brand new modern venue in Zionsville, just north of Indianapolis and it is absolutely stunning!! I’m a preferred vendor there and I am just dying to get in there and shoot! As we talked about their wedding plans, they shared with me their overall theme and it’s basically a dream come true for me.

So our original plan was a Newfields engagement session and I was SO STOKED about it! But then I royally screwed up and didn’t know they required a $50 photo pass for the evening and it must be requested two weeks in advance 😐 SOOOO Coxhall Gardens was the plan B that I pulled out of my butt about six hours pre-shoot! And thank you, Lord, for blessing me with the best couples who are flexible and up for anything! I knew Mikaela at least wanted something with a lush-gardens-feel and Coxhall Gardens delivered! Plan B turned out to be an incredible underdog!
