What a GEM! I just can’t get over the location, here! This flower garden engagement session features a rainbow of lush blossoms as we explored Matter Park in Marion last week! Mackenzie is big into fitness and it shows!! She was stunning in a romantic, ivory bodysuit paired with high-waisted blue jeans.

She could be Joanna Gaines’ sister! When I asked if she ever gets told that, she said absolutely and they even went as Chip and Joanna for Halloween one year. That’s a perfect match for these two!

I was soo excited to finally meet these two! When Mackenzie inquired, she said “I always knew I wanted you to be our wedding photographer” and I literally melted into a puddle. It means SO MUCH when brides are sold on the CRP Wedding Experience long before he pops the question!

These high school sweethearts have been together for seven years! Austin proposed to Mackenzie while walking their two dogs on the day she passed her licensing exam to become a Speech Pathologist and graduated from graduate school! Austin is a little more reserved while Mackenzie is outgoing so they complement each other perfectly but it definitely took a bit to get them BOTH warmed up in front of the camera.

The first time I asked them to go forehead to forehead, they both reacted like, ‘Woah, that’s close’ LOL. They informed me, “We’re not big on PDA”…Oh… well…guess what… this whole session is about to be full of PDA so you’ll get used to it! But, man, once they were warmed up, they were on fire!! Austin endured a mosquito bite on his temple during the exact moment this photo was taken!! Instead of swatting at it, he just held perfectly still to capture my signature forehead kiss photo. I felt SOO bad and obviously edited out the bite in every photo after that lol! He deserves a gold medal!
