Alexis and Andrew’s wedding day at Greencrest Manor was nothing short of a dream. Nestled in the woods just outside Battle Creek, Michigan, the manor’s ivy-covered façade and European charm created a setting that felt like a fairytale come to life. With only 24 of their closest friends and family in attendance, their celebration was intimate, intentional, and deeply heartfelt.
The European Charm of Greencrest Manor
Greencrest Manor, with its 17th-century French manor inspiration and lush formal gardens, offered the perfect blend of old-world luxury and modern elegance. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the hospitality of the space—its quiet grandeur and refined warmth made it feel like we had stepped into a secluded European estate.
Alexis wore an off-the-shoulder floral appliqué gown that was as romantic as the setting. Her bouquet—an airy arrangement of cream and blush roses, delicate lisianthus, and spring blooms—echoed the soft, elegant tone of the day. It paired beautifully with the garden-inspired aesthetic of their celebration.
The reception dinner was held outdoors beneath the blooming trees, with one long table dressed in floral-printed linens and adorned with pastel blooms and flickering candlelight. The atmosphere was joyful and relaxed, filled with laughter, stories, and heartfelt toasts. Guests clinked their glasses as the sun dipped behind the manor, the glow of string lights above them adding to the magic of the evening.
There was something incredibly special about the way Alexis and Andrew chose to celebrate—intentionally small, beautifully styled, and rich with meaning. As their photographer, it was an honor to witness such genuine connection in a place that felt timeless and utterly enchanting.
To the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Hoover,
Words cannot express my gratitude for inviting me into such a meaningful chapter of your lives. From the very beginning, you made me feel like part of the family—not just your photographer. The warmth, kindness, and joy you and your family shared with me so freely throughout your day stayed long after I packed up my gear. It was truly an honor to witness and be part of such a beautiful, intentional celebration.
xo, Court
P.S. Let’s get drinks when you get back from Europe!
