This spring golden hour engagement session is filled with SO MUCH JOY AND LAUGHTER! So much that my cheeks have been hurting as I edit! I’d like to introduce you to Mikayla and Connor! These two have the most beautiful carefree spirits and their joy is incredibly contagious!

Mikayla and Connor have been together since the 8th grade! She actually first turned him down when he asked her to be his girlfriend! Because she thought he can do better than a text! (atta girl!) A few days later, he found the courage to ask her in person and the rest was history! It’s rare to find “middle school sweethearts” these days!! But it’s clear in their photos that they love each other’s company.

So small world — My husband, Jacob, actually knows Connor from plowing snow this past winter. And an even smaller world, Mikayla and Connor are long-time family friends of Jacob’s cousin who just built on a gorgeous property out in the country. So when Mikayla told me they wanted to shoot on the new property (which I have been secretly DYING to shoot at since Jacob and I saw the place last summer) I was over the moon excited!! We had to snoop around to find some greenery budding on the trees but my favorite spot was actually up at the driveway by the tall pines!

I am so excited for their wedding NEXT MONTH at Chapel Road Retreat in my hometown! I know if their friends and family are anything like they are, it will be an absolutely BLAST! Enjoy my favorites from Monday evening!
