What a sweet evening I had with Emily and Seth! This summer engagement session at Metea County Park in Fort Wayne features wildflowers, a coral pink maxi dress, glowy sunset light and too many mosquito bites to count — but it was worth it!

When Emily inquired, a couple of months ago, she said she was referred by Kendra, (one of my favorite brides of all time) who she works with as a nurse! Kendra said, “She is seriously the sweetest!! She’s a nurse on my floor, super laid back and down to earth”.

I thought “oo… perfect — just my type” 🙂

In April, Emily and Seth went on a trip to Mexico with her best friend and husband. They had been talking for what seemed like forever about when they were going to get married but there was always something coming up (he’s an accountant so you know he is all about crunching those numbers!). But one night, they went down to the beach for some pictures and when she looked over, he was down on one knee. Emily said “the whole trip prior to that night I had been making comments “at this rate we will never get married”. Little did I know he had been planning it for a couple of months! 

She sounds like me — we already relate on so many levels haha — but I, too, kept saying “at this rate…blah blah blah” and then our boys show up at the right time and blow us away!

These two have such young souls and love to goof around. I’m honestly surprised I got any serious photos out of them because they were constantly giggling! These two fought the mosquitos without a single complaint! (while I was complaining under my breath the entire time about how I was getting eaten alive but that’s beside the point. The mosquitos unleashed hell on us for sure but Metea Park was showing off once again! This week, Northern Indiana just started to cool off a bit (thank God!) and we had the perfect light to shoot in!

Next October they’ll be married at Union 12 and I can’t wait to meet their family and friends, I have a feeling they’ll be just as fun as they are! Enjoy some of my favorites from our time together at Metea Park!
