Glowy Spring Engagement | Fort Wayne, Indiana
There’s always a bit of a struggle when it comes to shooting engagement sessions in this late-winter / mid-spring time in Indiana. First of all, everything is still pretty brown and ‘dead-looking’ but we’re starting to see little sprigs of green popping up! But the worst part is how unpredictable the temperature can be! We can have 70 and sunny in early March and then cold and windy at the end of April. Well, guess which one we had? YUP — cold and windy.
As I scouted for a new place to shoot [’cause all my normal spots were looking a little rough in the greenery department] I was still so excited to meet my couple! When Maddie first inquired with me I knew we’d be a great fit — she was SO sweet and I could tell she was so excited to share about her and her fiancé, Ronnie, because she used LOTS of exclamation points just as I do!!! 🙂 I love meeting joyful brides-to-be because I was the same way when I got engaged and I love to relive that excitement with others!
Celebrity Cameo Proposal
I always do some research on my couples’ social media profiles to find out about them and when I was browsing, Maddie’s Instagram, I came across this video of a Parks & Recreation cast member, Jim O’Heir — also known as Jerry Gergich.
Ronnie used an app called Cameo where you can pay participating celebrities to give birthday shout-outs, etc! When Ronnie found the Parks & Rec co-star, he was giving his “earnings” to a charity which makes me even more of a Jim O’Heir fan! In the video, Jim tells Maddie to meet Ronnie at the place where they shared their first kiss ’cause he has a very important question to ask you. She says she was crying the whole way driving downtown where he popped the question!
During their session, these two were just so giggly and in love and it was seriously contagious! Maddie and Ronnie met on a dating app and says they both knew on the first date it was something special!
Downtown Fort Wayne Freemasons Hall Wedding
I’m so excited for their downtown Fort Wayne wedding at the Freemasons Hall in November! I love taking photos in the city — It’ll most likely be another chilly day so y’all better bundle up ’cause we’re taking all sorts of Downtown photos!! Maddie, Ronnie, it was a JOY to meet you and I’m so honored to be part of your day!
ALSO as you scroll through their lovely spring engagement session, you may find that my couple seems like they might be kind of tall, IT’S BECAUSE THEY ARE. Ronnie is now the tallest person I know, standing at a whopping SIX FOOT TEN and his beautiful bride-to-be is SIX THREE. [snagged me a couple of college athletes!] My goodness! After their session, I realized that a step stool will not be realistic on the wedding day SO I will be rocking some heels that day! [at least until the reception lol] Pray for me, yall.
Fort Wayne Spring Engagement
Does anyone else think Ronnie resembles Mark Cuban? or is it just me?
Ok — Maddie’s model face is UNREAL and also, I asked “did we just become best friends?” when I saw she had the same ring as me! She has great taste in diamond rings.
OH MY GOODNESS THIS GLOWY LIGHT WAS A DREAM
I feel like Ronnie’s outfit is such a ‘Mark Cuban’ outfit! Am I wrong??
