Summer Sunset Country Engagement Session in Huntington, Indiana

I don’t know about other photographers but I love editing my photos. To me, it’s therapeutic. I sit here filtering out the ones I love, editing each image, perfecting it, giving it the RC look and feel and I can’t help but smile. I get to stare at true love and it just makes my heart swell with joy!

There is a common trend I find when I’m editing. The first 15 minutes of each session is always awkward. Always. It’s inevitable. Nobody is used to having a camera in their face or kissing slowly in the middle of town or touching noses in the middle of a field. And I could tell with Corinna and Tayler that when they’re feeling awkward, they’re giggly! And my goodness is it sweet! It was honestly hard to get them to give me a soft, romantic look with no smiles!

With each image, I get closer to the end of the session and it’s clearly visible that my couple is much more comfortable and they’re really acting like themselves. This is the turning point in the session. I get really excited and usually start talking faster and honestly, at this point, my couples are probably laughing at me because I’m like “ohhhhhh my goodness! Yesssss! Ahhhh! You two are amazing!!”

This summer sunset engagement session was SO FUN. Tayler was kind enough to drive us all around in Corinna’s Jeep up (and down) steep hills, over the creek as I directed him on what locations looked good! (And I have to thank Tayler again for his patience because we went all over the place, several times haha — to the very back, then up to the front, then to the middle and back to the front again–THANK YOU TAYLER!!)

So outside of going off-roading in the Jeep, spending two hours with this lovely couple was so pleasant and I would do it again any night of the week! Tayler is a good friend of Jacob’s younger brother so they’re definitely my kind of people. They are so joyful, super laid back and they were really up for anything I threw at them!

I can’t wait for their wedding next June — they’re getting married at AN ALPACA FARM! And I love that Corinna is so excited about pictures with the alpacas in her wedding dress! I have THEE best couples and it was an absolute pleasure capturing this special season of Corinna and Tayler’s life! Their wedding day will be here before we know it and I can’t wait to celebrate with them!
