Meet April and Evan! I’ve known Evan since high school so these two are good friends of mine. We’ve spent much time at the lakes and I’m sure some midwest bonfires here and there. I knew April was great for him and when she stuck around this guy for a while, I started anxiously waiting for the day he would pop the question!  I reached out to April (almost immediately) after I heard the news to congratulate her and discuss her wedding photo dreams! I wanted to shoot her wedding so badly plus I also knew I was a photographer that could handle those boys haha! Unfortunately, like many midwest brides, we want a fall wedding and my fall is jam-packed.  After looking at venues in the area, she had to pick a date I’m already booked. But I was so thrilled when she asked me to take some engagement photos for them!

So April and I started planning this day in January! This winter has been long and cold and I kept saying “just get your outfits ready and when we get a day, we’ll do it”. Honestly, this is a pretty normal strategy for me dealing with Indiana weather ha! Just flying by the seat of our pants people! And thankfully we did because IT WAS LITERALLY SNOWING HERE YESTERDAY!!  😐   I digress…

April and Evan — although I won’t be there on your special day, I want to thank you so much for letting me at least capture this season for engagement for you! It was such a pleasure to spend a lovely Saturday afternoon with you both and I hope you love these images as much as I do!
