As a woman with no kids yet, I have a funny way of handling them during sessions. The Verba boys (not including 6-month old Max) are WILD! They were so much fun to hang out with and I find they bring out the patience in me. They are a hoot and I just know Krista and Chase must be entertained 24/7 with them!

It’s so funny how every time I hang out with parents and their kids they’re always “Hey!” and “Listen to Courtney!” and always apologizing for their kids. But hear me when I tell you — I have seen my fair share of crazy kids during sessions and I’ve come to find that most of the time, if I just let them get their energy out of their system, they get comfortable with me and they end up listening to me later ha! I think they see the kid in me 🙂

So everyone, meet the Verba family! Krista and Chase are the sweetest and they have really raised some very well behaved boys! They may be wild but they really are sweet boys!

This is one of my favorite images from the session because after spending just 45 minutes with the Verba family, I feel like it kind of represents the love and interaction between them : Hudson and Everett, being the wild boys they are, Dad goofing around with them, Mom entertained by the show (and these boys are truly entertaining!) and sweet baby Max just sitting quietly, doing his own thing ☺️

I really love when I’m invited to my clients’ homes because it really makes the children feel comfortable and I get to just observe and capture the special moments of them just be THEMSELVES!

When I told Chase and Krista that couples are my bread and butter and I posed them, Krista says “Oh my gosh, we haven’t done this since probably our engagement pictures!” I think I need to convince them to have an anniversary session soon!
